About Me.
Hi, my name is Lisey.
I’m a registered nutritional therapist and graduate of the College of Naturopathic Medicine, with a three-year postgraduate qualification in biomedicine and nutrition, plus over 200 hours of clinical training. I’m a member of the ANP (Association of Naturopathic Practitioners) and GNC (General Naturopathic Council), committed to lifelong learning. I’ve also completed a counselling skills course and am currently working toward an MSc in psychology.
My journey into nutritional therapy was shaped by personal experience. As an artist for many years, I never envisioned this path, but two decades of struggling with disordered eating and debilitating anxiety led me here. I used to believe I was just “built this way” and relied on unhealthy coping mechanisms to manage daily tasks (and not with much success!), but a fascination with how food affects the brain changed everything. Discovering the science behind nutrition and its impact on mental health inspired me to retrain, earning my diploma and diving deeper into research.
Now, I’m passionate about using food as a foundation for health and self-care, supporting clients remotely and through occasional talks.
I live in Leeds with my two dogs, Scout and Echo, and a growing jungle of houseplants. In my spare time, I like to hike, cook, draw, and read. As such, I’ve accumulated way too many spices, a perpetually muddy living room, and too many piles of books for the number of shelves I can sensibly fit inside my house.
